You scan the QR code from the confirmation email with your camera or your device's built-in eSIM function — that is all it takes. No account, no download, no background service eating battery and storage.

Because you know exactly what you are getting. With a 50 GB or 100 GB package the allowance is guaranteed and available to you at full speed. So-called unlimited tariffs, by contrast, almost always contain a fair-use clause: beyond a threshold that is often buried in the small print, the speed is throttled — sometimes so severely that video calls, map apps or uploading photos barely work any more. A big-data package is therefore transparent and predictable, rather than being called unlimited while being limited in practice.

We bill in Swiss francs. Anyone invoicing in US dollars or euros also lands you with your card issuer's foreign-currency fee — roughly 1.5 to 2.5 per cent depending on the card — plus an exchange rate you do not know at the time of purchase. The actual numbers: across 144 directly comparable packages, meaning the same country and the same data allowance, we are cheaper than Airalo in 106 cases, by a median of 8.1 per cent. Collected on 2026-07-28 from Airalo's public pricing pages. The flip side: in 38 cases Airalo is cheaper, so it is worth checking the specific package. Holafly cannot be compared per gigabyte, because it sells unlimited daily packages with a fair-use clause instead of a guaranteed allowance. For context, a 10-day package there costs between CHF 19.48 and CHF 29.75 depending on the country (as of 2026-07-28), whereas with us a fixed allowance runs at a price known in advance. On top of that you get support from Switzerland and an invoice from a Swiss company with a UID. No VAT is charged: Ochsenbein Electronics is exempt under Art. 10 of the Swiss VAT Act.
